I created this site as a resource for those who wished to create ritual. It's organized so that within the theme of each celebration, specific components , i.e.: complete ritual outlines, blessings, history of the celebrations, visualizations, stories and poems, songs and deities can be searched. The celebrations on the site are: Winter Solstice, Candlemas, Spring Equinox, Beltane, Summer Solstice, Lammas, Autumn Equinox and Samhain. Almost everything on the site comes from the rituals our women's group creates. It will continue to grow as our celebration group creates new rituals. Our beginnings...sharing how we facilitate ritual celebrations...
Our women’s group has been creating ritual to celebrate the turning of the wheel since 1994. The women in the group change, we ebb and flow, always the richer for each woman’s contribution. The intention has remained constant; stay connected to Earth with her movement and growth, stay connected to Source in our individual ways, stay connected to ourselves and our paths in this journey called life.
The celebrations have always been unique because a different group facilitates the journey that is created for us. A facilitator reaches out to the resources they have available, they reach in to absorb and reflect on the tools they feel will most clearly translate their intention, they meld together to discuss, share resources, imagine and plan each intricate step of the journey…and magic is created. By the time the rest of us arrive, a cohesive, rich, intricate, fascinating, spiritual, and unifying celebration awaits us-every time. How lucky we are!
However, the journey starts with research. We had a binder that became so full it changed into two and now is adjusting to life as individual binders for each celebration. Each binder is packed with information. It is a beautiful resource and is valued greatly. Copies of articles (that weren’t carefully attributed), reside within. It also contains copies of materials used in many of the rituals we created. We all still have favorite books that we have acquired and continue to acquire for resources, and of course, we use the internet.
Therein lays the purpose of this website. We wish to give back to those who are of like mind. Your path crossed paths with ours, so perhaps there is something on this site that can help you on your journey. We will continue to add sources as we find them being mindful of copyright laws. If something is added to the website that has not been correctly attributed, please contact us and we will either remove it, if that is your wish, or site it correctly.
